STITCH-A-LONG with ELISSA Enjoy a night out with other knitters, crocheters or needle pointers. All levels are welcome to work on your own project, at your own speed, no pressure, just great instruction and nice company, not to mention great music. Start a project or finish one. for one year PRIVATE LESSONS Please call for details and to make an appointment. $35.00 per hour Fair Isle workshop In this class you will learn Fair Isle technique, the carrying of yarns, reading charts. We will make Fingerless gloves from Classic Elite using Inca Alpaca. The pattern is a free download from Classic Elite. (Click here for the link) Your yarn should be purchased prior to the class. Call for dates 7-9 pm $50.00 Learn how to add those finishing touches to your knitting project. Great tips on picking up stitches, sewing seams, tucking ends and blocking with confidence. It is not necessary to have a project that is ready to finish. If you have one bring, it along for consultation with Elissa. Call for next class and view pictures of our March 25 class here. $60.00 LACE SHAWL WORKSHOP Call for details CROCHET STRING BAG Call for details KID'S KNITTING, CROCHET AND NEEDLEPOINT with ELISSA Girls and boys ages 6 years and older love this class. The kids make everything from teddy bears to hats, scarfs, socks and more. There is charity knitting for Boston Medical Center, finger puppets and chemo hats for kids with cancer. This year we hope to make Kuku Kids Dolls for the African Baobob Organization Grandmother's Project. This class is ongoing through the end of June. Parents and grandparents are always welcome!
Fridays 4:30 - 5:30 pm 4 classes $60.00 or $18.00 per class SOCK KNITTING Sock talk with Iris Classes on 4 needles, 2 needles and the Magic Loop. Learn to knit one or two socks on one needle. Call for information on the dates and class cost. Karen will share with you her vast knowledge of knitting and crocheting. She makes it easy to understand your pattern and the stitches. Karen knows just how to help you add your own personal touches, you can even combine knitting and crochet. A great class for any level. Wednesdays 9:30-11:30 am 6 classes $80.00 Learn to make felted beads. Call for more information on this class FREESTYLE CROCHET RUG Using freestyle crochet you start with one square. Each square is different as the colors keep changing. It's fun, fast and the possibilities are endless once you learn this technique. Stop by the store to see the finished product. No crochet knowledge is needed. This has been a popular class and we will be offering it again this winter. Call for more details. TATTING Tatting also known as Shuttle Lace dates back to the 16th century. We are fortunate to have a wonderful, patient teacher for this introductory class. If you are interested in learning this technique please call the store for details. The instructor will be available on Saturday afternoons, please call to reserve your space.
