SWEDISH WEAVING

Swedish Weaving is also known as Huck Weaving or Huck Embroidery. It was popular in the late 1940’s when homemakers used embroidery floss to decorate the borders of towels. Today, you can make afghans, baby blankets, pillows, wall hangings, table linens, Tallit and more. Our teacher, Fran, has been teaching Swedish Weaving for over 10 years. In this 2 week class you will learn the basic technics for creating a one of a kind lovely heirloom.

REPAIR WORKSHOP

Save your sweaters, whether they are old favorites or new projects, store bought or handmade! Learn to repair moth holes. rips and dropped stitches. Go back and fix a stitch without tearing out your work. Fix pulls, cables, and buttonholes that are too large.

MITERED SQUARE BLANKET
Mitered Square Blanket Club (MSBC) meets the second Tuesday of the month from 7-9:00. People can purchase a kit for $25.00. The kit includes 20 skeins of 20 different sock yarns, each with 24 yards, a pattern and picture of the project in a nifty little bag they can use to keep their project in while knitting. Join us as our projects grow trade yarns with other club members. So much fun! The pattern is available on our patterns page.

Second Tuesday of the month from 7:00-9:00 PM
No dues except for a food pantry contribution: either a non-perishable food item or a $10.00 donation to the Needham food pantry.

WEAVING and SPINNING
Learn the basics of weaving on a Rigid Heddle loom - how to warp it, what yarns work best, and lots of little techniques and tricks to create beautiful projects. Make scarves, bags, dish towels and more. Great for using up your stash. Quick easy and fun!. Just to add to the fun, if you have ever wanted to spin yarn, now is the time to give it a try. Join the same weaving group and learn to spin yarn!

Purchase a Cricket Loom and get 1 class free! Looms can also be rented at $20.00 per week.

CRICKET CLUB

7:00-9:00 pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
The Cricket club (for users of the Schacht Cricket loom) will be starting a log cabin pattern group project.
No charge, but bring a contribution for the Needham food pantry.

KNIT & CROCHET
Wednesday mornings with Karen.
Karen will share with you her vast knowledge of knitting and crocheting. She makes it easy to understand your pattern and the stitches. Karen knows just how to help you add your own personal touches. You can even combine knitting and crochet. A great class for any level.

STITCH-A-LONG
Thursday nights with Elissa.
It’s fun to knit or crochet with others. Thursday nights you can do that here, you can work on your project with the company of others and get help if you need it. All levels welcome.

FINISHING your knitted project with Elissa.
There is no greater joy than a perfect seam and beautiful shoulders. Or how about the pleasure when you finish something and it fits and looks great. In this one night workshop learn tips on picking up stitches, sewing seams, tucking ends, and blocking with confidence.

KID’S KNITTING with Elissa
In this class, children 6 years and older learn the basics of knitting. Bring your mum, dad or special person with you and learn together. All skill levels are welcome.

SATURDAY NIGHT KNITTING CLUB (SNKC)
Join us on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 5:00 - 7:00 pm for the Saturday Night Knitting Club - SNKC! Bring your knitting and a Needham food pantry item.

Every other Saturday 5:00 - 7:00 pm
No instruction, just camaraderie. Bring a contribution for the Needham food pantry.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
Do you have a circle of friends who like to knit together? Schedule a night out at Creative Warehouse with your special circle of friends. It is our pleasure to open our doors to you. Please bring food for our local food pantry.

DONATION KNITTING
We accept and find homes for all types of knitted or crochet items all year. Remember there is a head for every hat and a lap for every blanket.
